Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hard-working Production Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various harvest activities such as preparation, sorting, drying, packaging, and palletizing. You will also be involved in return and rework activities, quality analysis & control activities, field management activities, and warehousing activities. This position is a seasonal role with the potential to become a long-term opportunity based on excellent performance and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in preparation, sorting, drying, packaging, and palletizing of harvest materials.
• Engage in return and rework activities as needed.
• Conduct quality analysis and control activities to ensure product standards.
• Assist in field management and warehousing activities.
• Operate machinery and handle equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or farming.
• Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift based on team assignment.
• Comfortable working indoors or outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
• Willingness to perform various tasks including sorting, drying, machine operation, quality control, and cleaning.
• Experience with forklift operation is a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must possess steel or composite toe shoes.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team-based environment.
• Commitment to safety and flexibility with shift schedules.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position located in Tipton, IN, at an agricultural site. The work is physical and strenuous, requiring the use of personal protective equipment including hard hats, safety vests, work gloves, and hearing protection. Steel or composite-toe shoes are mandatory. During the peak season from September through March, employees should be prepared for flexible shifts and occasional overtime. The off-peak season typically has an 8-hour day schedule. The work environment is focused on safety and cleanliness, although it can be demanding.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TIPTON, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
