Le Jardin Academy is looking for a Primary Environmental Sustainability Coordinator (Stipend Position) for the 2026/2027 School Year. Bachelor’s degree and experience and understanding of the IB Primary Years Programme are required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. No phone calls, please. Work Schedule: 12-month


Consults with: Supervisor, Parents, Students, Admin. assistant, Facilities, Tech, Vendors

Job Status: Part-time

FTE: 30%

12 hours/week

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Scope

Operate a successful campus in line with the School’s Mission and Primary Years Programme.


Essential Functions

This position encompasses but is not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:


Working with Students:

  • Support the expansion of programs to increase student access to the paddock and gardens (E-club and additional programming during the school day)

  • Support with learning experiences connected to the curriculum (PYP units of inquiry and PYP exhibition)

  • Organize and facilitate enriching experiences to enhance students’ personal inquiry (personal inquiry time - academies).


Management and coordination

  • Coordination and management of the Primary Gardens and LJA Paddock

  • Train and organize volunteers to maintain the Primary Gardens

  • Train and organize volunteers to maintain and clean the paddock and animal enclosures

  • Train and coordinate the feeding and care of animals


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Experience and understanding of the IB Primary Years Programme required

  • Experience working with PK-5 Students
