Utilize a variety of production tools to assemble various components into completed or partially completed products or assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble various repetitive products following client specifications, work instructions, or blueprints.
  • Operate jobs functions in a close working environment in a work cell with 4 teammates.
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools for assembly and production.
  • Perform safe and efficient use of hand and power tools including flat head and Phillips head screwdrivers, torque wrenches, drills, and hand pumps.
  • Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area, including PPE requirements.
  • Assist in testing completed products for quality assurance and visual inspections using measuring devices and gauges.
  • Attend daily production meetings for KPIs, production tracking, and performance updates.
  • Participate in daily area clean-up and more significant facility clean-up efforts as assigned.
  • Accept reassignment to other departments as workload dictates.
  • Provide continuous training to all employees and perform other duties as necessary.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production, assembly, general labor, general production, packaging, hand tool use, and inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 6 to 12 months of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
  • Stable work history with consistent work experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, work orders, procedures, prints, and short correspondence.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with engineers, managers, and other associates.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written or oral form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a temperature-controlled and clean production floor. Work stations are spaced throughout the facility, and some areas may be loud, requiring hearing protection. Safety glasses and steel-toe footwear are mandatory. Work attire includes clean work pants or jeans without holes and polo or T-shirts without vulgar or profane images. The position operates on a 2nd shift: 4:15 pm to 12:45 am Monday to Thursday and 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm on Friday, with the possibility of working up to 10 hours per shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
