Shop & Yard Manager / Mechanic
Are you an experienced Shop Manager / Mechanic with experience in Landscaping and aspiring to turn a job into a career? Are you a person who is goal oriented, able to work independently, within a team, with minimal supervision and effectively lead others?
Duties:
-
Effectively Manage 2-3 others, efficiently scheduling, delegating and overseeing various tasks and ensuring they are completed correctly and in a timely manner. These tasks will primarily include equipment and facilities maintenance and repair, shop/yard work such as organizing, cleaning, maintaining and occasionally doing small Landscape Construction projects independently or as part of a crew and Snow Plowing during the winter months.

Manage and maintain all shop equipment and fleet maintenance year-around

Operate tools and equipment safely

Lead equipment safety and maintenance meetings.

Must be conscientious, efficient and keep work environment (shop/yard) and equipment clean and organized.

Must be detail oriented, punctual, able to complete paperwork accurately, timely and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work well in a team-setting and have strong managerial and communication skills.

Must be consistent, reliable, trustworthy and dependable.

Must be motivated, organized and able to run a tight ship.

Basic knowledge of internet / email (Must have a smart phone)

Responsible for purchasing/returning parts, supplies, etc., including on-line ordering/returning.

Mechanical experience: excavators, trucks, skids steers and attachments, chain saws, snowplows, mowers, etc.

Occasional in-field assignments.
Requirements:

Must have a valid drivers license with an insurable driving record. CDL a plus.

Five+ years managerial experience.
-
Five+ years experience in mechanics.

Must be able to walk, bend, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds
