This travel opportunity offers nursing professionals a 13-week assignment within a teaching hospital environment—an ideal setting to grow professionally. You’ll collaborate with supportive care teams, experienced charge nurses, and actively engage with learners, broadening your resume with exposure to diverse approaches and leadership styles. Floating between nearby campuses adds flexibility and depth to your experience, allowing you to adapt and excel in varied clinical settings.
Schedule/Hours:
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48, by request)
- 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM–7:00 AM)
- Three weekends out of every six-week schedule; every other holiday required
- Start dates: 5/4 or 5/18 (bi-weekly orientation cycle)
- Floating: Required within skillset to nearby affiliated campuses
Qualifications:
- Active compact RN license
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (attach with submission)
- Minimum two years RN experience, including one full year in stepdown
- At least one travel assignment completed
- Trauma Level II experience
- Recent EPIC charting experience (will require a checkoff class)
- Proficiency in tele/12-lead EKG, initiating/titrating drips, post-surgical assessments, neuro and dysphagia screenings
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills; adaptability and resilience
- Preferred: Experience with home vents, special drains, shunts, and Narcan drips
Responsibilities:
- Manage stepdown patient population: cardiac, neuro, critical medical/surgical
- Deliver high-quality assessments, monitor and respond to evolving patient needs
- Collaborate closely with CNAs, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
- Float between units/campuses as needed
