Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Project Manager based in Wall Township, NJ.

Compensation: 100-150k

Position Overview

The Project Manager will oversee environmental and heavy civil construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver sustainable and compliant solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills to drive project success. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple environmental construction projects from award through completion, ensuring on-time and cost-effective execution.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and maintain clear, consistent communication with clients.
  • Guide internal teams to meet all project requirements and uphold safety standards.
  • Contribute to estimating, proposal development, and provide support to broader business operations as needed.
  • Drive project success while preserving a strong reputation for quality and accountability, ensuring full compliance with federal and state environmental regulations throughout project execution.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing heavy civil or environmental construction projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations
  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor relationships effectively
  • Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools

Preferred Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Professional certifications such as PE, PG, or PMP
  • Experience with estimating and proposal development
  • Familiarity with ecological restoration and water infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated ability to foster client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
  • Advanced certifications in project management or engineering disciplines are a plus

Benefits
