POSITION SUMMARY:
The passionate, self-motivated Mystery Shopper works with the Vice President of
Membership Success to evaluate the quality of the Member and guest experience at
our Family Centers. Mystery Shoppers are responsible for completing in-person or
phone shops as assigned and reporting in a timely manner through a
YMCA-provided assessment form. In-person shops are not expected to exceed a
2-hour commitment which includes travel time, the mystery shop experience, and
completing the report. Phone shops are not expected to exceed a 1-hour
commitment which includes completing the shop and submitting the assessment
report.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Execute assigned Mystery Shops and submit feedback forms by deadline each month
- Provide impartial assessment of the Center team, program delivery and facilities
- Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent communication and memorization skills
- Ability to use personal technology for phone shops and personal transportation for in-person shops.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Detail-oriented, high attention to accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- Ability to conduct duties discreetly and impartially
- Follows all standards, policies and procedures as established by the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, including Employee Code of Conduct, Child Abuse Reporting and Prevention, and emergency procedures.

BACKGROUND CHECKS
An offer of employment is contingent upon receipt of satisfactory results to meet
minimum requirements of the position. They may include criminal background and
reference checks, E-Verify, drug test, driver’s license record, and/or a Child
Protective Services Check (CPS). Additional driver’s license check, CPS, criminal
background check, alcohol, and/or drug testing may be required to be processed in
the future in order to meet and/or maintain the requirements of this position.
