We have an immediate need for a 1st Shift Machine Operator at our Maple Grove, MN headquarters.
The shift is Monday – Thursday, 6 am – 3:30 pm and Friday, 6 am – 10 am. The pay range is in the $25-$28/hr. range.
Summary/Objective
Responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of our cutting and balancing equipment.
Essential Functions
§ Safely and proficiently operate saws and balancing equipment according to established procedures and guidelines. This includes setting up, adjusting, and monitoring machines to ensure optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
§ Prepare materials for cutting by selecting appropriate stock, measuring, and marking dimensions, and positioning them accurately for cutting operations.
§ Perform precise and efficient cutting operations using saws, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and smooth finishes. Maintain proper cutting speeds, feed rates, and blade conditions to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
§ Conduct balancing operations on finished components using specialized equipment. Follow prescribed procedures to ensure the components meet required specifications for balance and vibration control.
§ Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, materials used, and any quality control data. Complete all required paperwork, such as production logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
Competencies
§ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
§ Strong knowledge of materials and measurement techniques.
§ Ability to be detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
§ Ability to problem-solve and strong troubleshooting skills.
§ Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
Required Education & Experience
§ High school diploma or equivalent.
§ 6 months experience in same or similar role.
§ Strong knowledge of materials and measurement techniques.
§ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
