May Ship Repair is hiring a Full Time General Laborer. This position is a great fit for someone who is looking to make an immediate positive impact and enjoys diversity in the work day. Responsibilities will vary according to yard needs and may include yard clean up, job site preparation and general assistance. Tasks may be physically strenuous at times.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow safety guidelines
• Must be responsible
• Must work from 7:30am-4:00pm (OT required when needed)
• Standing for long periods of time
• Some heavy lifting may be required (25-50 lbs)
• Must have the ability to understand and communicate information
• Previous experience on a forklift is required
• Must not have issues with heights

Work Environment Summary

Applicant may be subject to environmental conditions such as cold, heat, exposed to noise, hazards and confined spaces/close quarters. Applicant must be aware of work environment at all times.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, stand, kneel, crouch, stoop, use hands and fingers, handle tools or controls and talk and hear others. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and travel in/out of vessels.
