A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse capable of working in a Med-Surg Telemetry unit with moderate-acuity patients. This role involves supporting vascular and bariatric patient care on a 47-bed unit staffed by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering quality healthcare.
Location:
Situated in Derry, NH, the unit offers a supportive work environment equipped with advanced medical devices such as Alaris Pumps, bladder scanners, and Atrium chest tube drainage systems. The hospital utilizes Sunrise EMR, facilitating efficient patient record management. Derry provides a mix of suburban comfort with convenient access to urban amenities, making it a favorable place for healthcare professionals seeking balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to med-surg telemetry patients, managing acuity demands effectively.
- Collaborate with nursing colleagues including charge RNs, LPNs, and monitor technicians to deliver cohesive patient care.
- Utilize telemetry monitoring and ACLS protocols to ensure patient safety and respond rapidly to changes in patient status.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Sunrise EMR system.
- Adhere to unit policies including dress code and weekend/on-call schedules, with every other weekend required.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with experience in telemetry nursing required.
- ACLS certification is a must.
- Prior experience with bariatric patient care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment, demonstrating strong work ethic and flexibility.
Schedule:
- Every other weekend required.
- Primarily day and night shifts aligned with unit coverage.
