Our client is a property management company. They seek a temp-to-hire Bookkeeper to join their Brooklyn, NY, office.


Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and deposits
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Support payroll processing and expense reimbursements, as required
  • Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation
  • Perform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Associate's degree or certification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
