Accountant
Farmingdale, NY
Our client is a mid-sized distribution corporation is looking to hire an Accountant for their team. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Accounting along with four years of applicable experience. You will work closely with leadership on financials and work to improve their accounting operations. This is a great opportunity to join a sizable, stable corporation and assist them in bringing their financial function to the next level. This is a full-time onsite position offering a salary of $90,000 to $110,000. They offer a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities for the Accountant job include:
· Compile and analyze financial data for general ledger entries
· Provide profit and loss (P&L) reporting for multiple departments
· Inventory accounting
· Communicate regularly with executive leaders
· Involvement in ad hoc projects as necessary
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· Four or more years of accounting experience
· Prior inventory accounting experience is a plus
· Strong technical aptitude, must know Pivot Tables, VLookups in Excel
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
