Job Title: Underwriter
Location: Wayne, PA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (8 hours per day)

What You’ll Do

Review and process loan applications for both consumer and manufactured home mortgage loans.

Analyze financial documents, credit reports, and collateral to make sound underwriting decisions.

Underwrite loans across multiple programs including FHA, VA, USDA Rural Development, and FNMA, using AUS and manual guidelines.

Partner with processors, sales staff, housing dealers, and realtors to explain underwriting decisions and ensure smooth transactions.

Stay up to date on lending regulations, investor guidelines, and program changes.

Provide excellent service to applicants and colleagues by communicating decisions clearly and resolving issues efficiently.

Contribute to a team culture built on accuracy, accountability, and customer focus.
What We’re Looking For
-
2–4 years of experience in both mortgage and consumer lending.

Strong knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines (DU/LP).

Skilled in reviewing tax returns, calculating income, analyzing credit reports, and identifying red flags.

Working knowledge of appraisals, title reports, insurance policies, and flood certifications.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

A professional communicator who enjoys problem-solving and working as part of a team.
