Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Autism Support Teacher position is available in Atlanta, GA, supporting students in self-contained Autism classrooms at an elementary school setting. This travel opportunity requires on-site presence with no hybrid or remote options and follows a strict Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored for students with Autism in self-contained classrooms.
- Collaborate with school staff and administration to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in team meetings focused on student growth.
- Uphold all district policies and procedures, including timely fingerprinting and compliance with credentialing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education licensure covering General Curriculum, Math, ELA, Science, Social Science, and Reading, or alternatively, Special Education General Curriculum combined with Elementary Education licensure.
- Availability for full-time work, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Candidates must be prepared for district-conducted interviews and reference checks.
- Previous experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) students preferred.
- Ability to provide three most recent supervisor references upon request.
