We are looking for a Catering Sales Assistant to join our team. The role involves providing product and service information and resolving technical issues.
Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming calls for information and quotes on catering services and associated costs.
• Respond to emails for prospective and existing customers with details regarding available time slots and services.
• Generate sales leads from incoming and outgoing calls and arrange appointments with interested parties.
• Collect necessary information from clients, wedding planners, and meeting planners to assist in menu planning, floor plans, room setup, and décor.
• Organize pre-planning details for each event to ensure successful completion.
• Discuss food and beverage choices with clients and provide an overall cost estimate.
• Support event managers in conducting tastings, arranging layouts of food stations, and menus that meet company standards.
• Review and approve all group banquet checks and ensure timely addition of any extra costs.
• Interact with sales, kitchen, waitstaff and vendors to ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints.
Provide information about products and services.
Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns.
Document and update customer records based on interactions.
Develop and maintain a knowledge base of evolving products and services.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, sales, or related fields.
Ability to build rapport with clients.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Professional demeanor.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft and Google apps platform.
