Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare professional is needed to deliver precise radiation therapy treatments using advanced Varian Linear Accelerator (True Beam) systems. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong patient communication skills, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identification, diagnosis, prescription, and treatment chart accuracy.
• Clearly explain treatment plans, safety procedures, and communication methods during therapy.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment per prescription, including immobilization devices and treatment parameters.
• Monitor radiation safety for patients and staff consistently throughout therapy sessions.
• Operate CT simulation equipment effectively to support treatment planning.
• Maintain communication with patients during therapy to ensure comfort and safety.
• Perform patient timeouts and document clinical observations, including skin reactions and side effects, informing physicians as necessary.
• Manage scheduling and clerical tasks to maintain departmental efficiency.
• Conduct routine equipment safety checks and report any malfunctions promptly.
• Keep accurate treatment records and comply with quality improvement initiatives and all departmental policies.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Current registration as a Radiation Therapist (RTT) with ARRT (T).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per American Heart Association standards, with current renewal.
• Experience operating Varian Linear Accelerator (True Beam) systems is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
