OIA is coordinating the internship program on behalf of our member agencies. Interns will be interviewed, selected, paid and employed by the respective agency. The HR policies and guidelines of the agency will apply to the internship. The pay range will be $17 to $18/hr depending on experience and location. Students who successfully complete the internship will also receive a $500 scholarship from the OIA Foundation.

They are seeking students interested in exploring an insurance agency career
post-graduation. Either a Sales/Producer Career or Account Management/Service
career path. The ideal candidate will have a sincere interest in exploring a sales and/or
service career with an Independent Agency. Key competencies include personal
initiative, active learner, communication, relationship building, customer
service, and sales. Agencies are looking to turn internships into full time job offers post-graduation.
Extended part time work opportunities may also exist post internship.

Responsibilities
The WesBanco Insurance Services Intern will learn key foundational banking and insurance concepts to improve his/her banking, insurance, sales, and management skills in a rotational program through various retail functional areas. Develops skills by performing a variety of tasks while gaining knowledge and experience needed for placement into a regular position after successful completion of the program. Responsibilities exist in areas such as Personal Lines,
Commercial Lines, and Employee Benefits.
Requirements
- Currently attending college or university in the field of Business or similar required.
- Coursework completed in these fields a plus.
- Must be available for a minimum of eight weeks.
