Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Anesthesia Ionia, MI
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CRNA to provide independent anesthesia services at UMH Ionia. This role involves delivering safe and effective anesthesia care for general surgical and endoscopy procedures within a supportive hospital environment. Candidates will work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with remote supervision from an anesthesiologist and no on-call responsibilities. Required Skills:
- Current, valid Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license in Michigan
- Extensive knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols for adult and pediatric patients
- Demonstrated ability to independently administer anesthesia with remote anesthesiologist oversight
- Proficiency in general surgical anesthesia, nerve blocks, regional anesthesia, spinal and epidural anesthesia, and ventilation management
- Strong documentation skills using EPIC EMR system
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and patient management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in trauma Level 4 facility settings
- Previous work in operating rooms and endoscopy suites
- familiarity with pediatric anesthesia procedures
- Additional certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Anesthesia or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of recent anesthesia practice experience, preferably in hospital settings
- Prior locum or coverage experience is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing completion within approximately 60 days
- Reliable travel arrangements; mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
- Availability to start on or before 01/03/2026
- Orientation fee is half the hourly rate; holiday pay at 1.5X the hourly rate
