Job DescriptionSalary: $28-$35 Hr. DOE

LaRiviere Inc is looking for 4 experienced dump truck drivers for the Coeur d' Alene, Idaho / Spokane, Washington region. Our drivers typically a Monday - Friday with some optional weekend work available.


We offering $28-$35 per hour based on experience. However, we currently have numerous prevailing wage job sites in the area so pay will vary based on work location and therefore there is the potential to earn more per hour than the guaranteed base rate.

Drivers operate and drive dump trucks to transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, or dirt. They play an essential role in construction, mining, and other industries that require the transportation of heavy materials.



Their duties and responsibilities include:

  • Operating dump trucks to transport sand, gravel, dirt, or other loose materials to and from construction sites
  • Inspecting the truck before and after trips for safety including checking fluid levels, tires, lights, and brakes
  • Checking load contents for stability and safely securing them
  • Maintaining logs of vehicle repair status, working hours, and distance travelled
  • Following appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
  • Performing basic maintenance tasks such as changing tires, checking oil, and greasing the truck
  • Reporting any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs to the supervisor
  • Communicating effectively with dispatchers to provide progress reports and updates
  • Adhering to all traffic and safety regulations



Qualifications:

  • Valid commercial drivers license (CDL).
  • Proven experience as a truck driver.
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • Must pass drug and alcohol test.
  • Ability to sit for long periods.
  • Deep knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
  • Excellent hearing, eyesight and physical condition.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc).
