As a therapist within our organization, you will report to the Clinical Manager and play a vital role in assisting patients to regain their strength, mobility, and independence from the comfort of their own homes. By providing tailored care that emphasizes functional improvement, you will empower individuals to overcome challenges and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the physical therapy treatment plan for patients in their homes, as designed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques, including non-complex active and passive manual exercises, therapeutic massage, and modalities such as heat, cold, water, and electrical treatments.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure timely submission of clinical documentation to the office each week.
  • Participate in educational meetings and assist in coordinating departmental training sessions.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or changes in staff or client status to the Physical Therapist or Branch Director.
  • Apply infection control principles and universal precautions while performing patient care tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid state license to practice Physical Therapy.
  • Current driver's license, auto insurance, and dependable transportation.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Thorough understanding of the physical, emotional, social, and biological changes affecting the elderly population.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay per visit/unit ranges from $41.00 to $57.00. The compensation range provided reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment (40 hours per week) at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, education, and certifications.

Additional Information

  • TB Screening: This position involves direct patient interaction and is part of our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. Candidates selected for this role will be required to undergo TB screening.
  • Driving Requirements: This role is included in our driver safety program, necessitating a valid state driver's license and personal vehicle liability insurance. Individuals must maintain insurance in accordance with state minimum requirements, or at least $25,000 for bodily injury per person, $25,000 for bodily injury per event, and $10,000 for property damage, whichever is higher.
