Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with LTC regulations, including CMS, DEA, and state board requirements
- Manage medication distribution processes, including cycle fills, medication carts, and eMAR system integration
- Collaborate effectively with consultant pharmacists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines within the LTC framework
- Utilize LTC-specific pharmacy software such as PrimeCare, DocuTrack, TCGRx, and Parata to streamline workflows
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
- Active Texas Registered Pharmacist license mandatory
- Demonstrated expertise in long-term care pharmacy, with strong familiarity of LTC regulations and standards
- Prior experience in long-term care or closed-door pharmacy settings is required or strongly preferred
- Hands-on knowledge of LTC pharmacy software systems and medication management technologies
- Proven ability to engage in consultant pharmacist collaboration and support interdisciplinary communication
