A registered nurse with experience in operating room settings is needed for a contract opportunity at a leading medical center in the Aurora, Colorado area. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with the ability to circulate independently in the OR
- Preferred certification CNOR and/or experience with surgical scrub techniques
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system is a plus
- Prior experience working in a high-acuity operating room preferred
- Adaptable, friendly, and able to thrive in a dynamic team environment
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for a broad range of procedures, excluding transplants
- Circulate effectively during surgeries ensuring patient safety and efficient workflow
- Collaborate closely with CSTs, anesthesia techs, and surgical teams to provide exceptional patient care
- Follow established unit guidelines and protocols
- Utilize standard and advanced OR equipment including video systems as necessary
Location:Situated in Englewood, this state-of-the-art medical center features 14 operating rooms, including a hybrid cardiovascular OR and a cystoscopy room. The hospital maintains 408 beds and employs a team of 60 full-time surgical staff members. The unit supports a 1:1 patient ratio and offers access to innovative surgical technologies.
