Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher position serving K-12th grade students with diverse needs, spanning all grade levels from 1st through 12th grade in a school setting located in Chicopee, MA. The assignment is a full-time contract beginning ASAP and lasting through the end of the current school year. Part-time candidates with availability are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include managing a K-12 caseload, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with general education teachers and support staff, and providing tailored instruction to meet students unique learning needs. The role requires patience, strong communication skills, and a passion for fostering inclusive educational environments.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification in Special Education
- Experience working with a broad K-12 student population, including elementary, middle, and high school grades
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies across various grade levels (K-5, 6-8, 9-12)
