Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time onsite Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) opportunity is available within a public school district near Columbus, Georgia. This contract role runs from ASAP through May 21st, 2026, offering a consistent 37.5-hour workweek with approximately 7.5 hours per day on-site at various school locations to be determined.

The caseload will be assigned based on your professional experience, preferences, and district needs, providing flexibility in your daily responsibilities. This role requires an active Georgia OT license. Candidates with at least one year of clinical experience, particularly in pediatric occupational therapy within schools or similar settings, will be highly valued. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants with relevant school-based experience are also encouraged to apply, as the district is open to considering COTAs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in a school environment.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other therapists to support student progress.
  • Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Georgia OT license or be a licensed COTA with school-based experience.
  • Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred, with pediatric therapy exposure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing onsite therapy services.
  • Ability to adapt caseload based on district priorities.
