This role involves overseeing various operations including Alpma machines, brine systems, filling forms, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with our high standards. The Packaging Operator is responsible for the setup and operation of high-speed packaging machines, making bags for chips. The role includes minor troubleshooting such as identifying why machines stop or jam and determining if maintenance needs to be called.
Responsibilities
- Manage and operate specific machinery in the production line.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and production procedures.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and quality control.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of machine operating experience.
- Experience with high-speed manufacturing.
- Proficiency in GMP standards.
- Familiarity with filling and packaging machines.
- Ability to perform changeovers and machine setup.
- Minor troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- GMP preferred.
- Ability to adjust feeds and speeds.
- Experience in packaging machine operation.

Work Environment
The position is for the 3rd shift, from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays. The facility is clean, with a pleasant aroma of French fries, and temperature-controlled without refrigeration. Employees are required to adhere to GMP standards, including wearing a hair net, beard net, smocks, hard hat, and steel-toed boots.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50/hr.
