Job Description
King LASIK / K2 Vision is seeking a results-driven, reliable, and patient-focused Optometrist to join our Tukwila team. This position plays a vital role in providing exceptional preoperative and postoperative care in a fast-paced refractive surgery environment.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and committed to delivering outstanding patient experiences while working collaboratively with our clinical and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service and patient care
- Perform preoperative and postoperative diagnostic testing and full eye examinations
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients throughout their care
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely charting and documentation
- Use patient records and diagnostic tools to assess eye health and treatment needs
- Counsel patients on procedures, technologies, and treatment options
- Promote King LASIK and K2 Vision services appropriately
- Manage patient expectations and address concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and accountability in all testing and charting
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient outcomes
- Work under the supervision of an Ophthalmologist
Qualifications & Skills
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) required
- Engaging, kind, and professional demeanor
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and coach others
- Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment
- Experience with diagnostic tools including topography, refraction, and slit lamp examination
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Experience with MS Office and ModMed preferred
- Patient, approachable, and calm under pressure
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Schedule Requirements
- Full-time position based in Tukwila, WA
- Occasional evening and weekend availability required (including post-op coverage as needed)
