Join Hydro, Inc., a global leader in industrial pump reengineering since 1969 with corporate headquarters in Chicago, at our Aston, PA site. We’re hiring a first-shift technician to take on complex rebuilds of horizontal and vertical pumps.

What you’ll do
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble large pumps and rotating equipment
- Use blueprints and schematics to plan procedures and set up assembly/disassembly foundations
- Operate manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools to exacting standards
- Measure components with micrometers, calipers, and gauges (M&TE)
- Apply mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose faults and recommend fixes
- Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts
- Work to precise tolerances and standards of accuracy
What you’ll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 7+ years’ experience as a pump mechanic or equivalent in rotating equipment
- Competency with hand/power tools; crane and forklift experience
- Ability to read and interpret inspection measurements
- Clear written and oral communication
- Manual dexterity, control precision, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools
- Micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tooling
- Fork trucks and overhead cranes
- Liquid Fill Pumps and Equipment
Work setup
- Full-time (in person)
- First shift
- Industrial shop environment with large machinery, overhead cranes, trucks, and forklifts
