Job Title: EKG Tech / ED Tech / Phlebotomist (Travelers Only)
Location: Hyannis, MA
Schedule: Day Shift | 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM | 3x12.5 Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Rotating Holidays
Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Type: Travel Contract
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an EKG Tech / ED Tech / Phlebotomist for an exciting Travel assignment in Hyannis, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Draw blood and collect/transport clinical specimens to the laboratory
- Perform EKGs, Holter monitor placement, and stress testing per protocol
- Verify patient identification prior to specimen collection
- Instruct patients on proper specimen collection procedures
- Complete lab documentation, cardiac testing records, and billing information
- Document required data accurately in hospital systems and logs
- Communicate workflow updates, order changes, and testing requirements to clinical staff
- Assist nursing units with specimen collection and testing support
- Maintain PPE compliance and hospital safety standards
- Handle specimen collection issues and initiate service recovery when needed
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized testing areas
- Support staff/student orientation and training
- Participate in quality assurance activities and departmental meetings
- Ensure efficient and economical use of supplies
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy Certification (PBT) required
- EKG Certification required
- Current BLS Certification required
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Acute care hospital experience preferred
- Strong teamwork and patient care focus required
- Must be comfortable working rotating weekends and holidays
