FOXXSTEM is actively involved in two of the most high-profile projects in the region. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Site Civil & Drainage Design Engineer to contribute to these and other challenging and rewarding projects.
About the Role:
This is a full-time, Site Civil & Drainage Design Engineer position focusing on the design, implementation, and oversight of drainage systems for infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include preparing stormwater management, drainage design, and erosion and sediment control plans, and ensuring adherence to local, State, and Federal environmental regulations. The role requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, design experience, and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
The Site Civil & Drainage Design Engineer works primarily in an office setting with minimal field engagement and serves as liaison between clients, contractors, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and other team members. The Site Civil & Drainage Engineer will be led by a Senior Water Resources Engineer and/or a Senior Site Civil Project Manager to facilitate project delivery.
This position offers the option for hybrid work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design drainage systems for construction projects, including stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and other related infrastructure
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and construction plans
- Conduct site investigations and collect relevant data
- Ensure compliance with local, State, and Federal regulations related to drainage design and stormwater management
- Prepare and submit permit applications and reports for regulatory agencies review and coordinate responses to agency questions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
- Participate in field inspections, meetings, and construction oversight
- Knowledge of the latest technologies, best practices, and standards
- Complete relevant training and obtain certifications necessary to perform duties
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field
- Five years of experience in site civil and/or drainage and stormwater management design
- Understanding of hydrology and hydraulics principles, site grading, and utilities design
- Strong knowledge of stormwater management and erosion and sediment control practices
- Familiarity with relevant local and Federal environmental regulations
- Proficiency in CAD (MicroStation and other Bentley products)
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the pursuit of
- Willingness to obtain additional certifications as required

Compensation:
Salary will be determined based on candidate’s experience level, education, licensure and/or certifications.
