Aerotek is seeking a Millwright Mechanic

Job Description

The role involves disassembling large heat exchangers returned from clients. This task can be demanding and requires meticulous attention to detail as candidates will document all issues to be addressed. In a small shop environment, versatility is key, with responsibilities including teardown, replacement, cleaning, and pressure washing.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble large heat exchangers returned from clients.
  • Document all issues for repair.
  • Perform multiple shop functions including teardown, replacement, cleaning, and pressure washing.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting and blueprint reading.
  • Proficient in servicing, inspecting, and measuring parts using tools such as vernier, depth gauge, micrometer, bore gauges, and torque wrenches.
  • Experience with machines such as decanter, centrifuges, separators, turbines, and pumps.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industries with the ability to work under peak demands.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with separation equipment is a plus.

Work Environment

The role operates during the 1st shift from 6am-4:30pm, with typical shifts extending to 10-12 hours. Weekend work is frequently required, including Sundays, ensuring a busy and engaging work schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
