Pandrol is a global company with many opportunities for advancement and growth. Our Napoleon, OH facility is looking for a Machine Operator/General Laborer to produce foundry cores, luting paste and packaging for railroad maintenance suppliers.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
1.1 Protects customers from quality spills by implementing quality control activities along with preventive actions.
1.2 Responsible for developing effective and efficient quality methods, maintaining documentation throughout the Quality processes.
1.3 Conduct HSE orientations and trainings to all level employees (new hires and existing as applicable), including orientations specific to each business area.
1.4 Develop, manage and maintain QHSE related items at all levels (emergency evacuation to corporate initiatives)
1.5 Helps maintain current government reporting, SWWP, TRI, Tier II, OSHA 300 log, etc.
1.6 Lead OPEX initiatives for the site
1.7 Follow and implement Pandrol Standards
1.8 Report KPIs to the corporate
KEY AREAS OF ACTIVITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
2.1 Develop, apply and maintain QHSE requirements and standards.
2.2 Establish, document and maintain all Quality Assurance policies and procedures; including the upkeep of the Quality Manual and supporting procedures.
2.3 Provide technical assistance and training to Quality personnel.
2.4 Promote and create awareness for compliance of customer HSE requirements, regulatory and industry requirements, and internal company guidelines throughout the organization
2.5 Identify, develop and communicate key EPA and/or OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
2.6 Identify PPE requirements across business areas and maintain inventories
2.7 Take ownership of assigned production readiness activities to ensure that quality and safety awareness is inherent in process development.
2.8 Reviewing near misses, incidents, investigation, reporting, communication of lessons learned and supporting the follow-up.
2.9 Provide statistical analysis on the performance of new and existing designs and processes.
2.10 Perform root cause analysis on customer/field and factory failures and coordinate resolution of customer complaints.
2.11 Helps develop and implement statistical inspection sampling plans for incoming and outgoing product considering appropriate alpha and beta risks.
2.12 Develop monthly reports showing inspection and audit performance and improvement opportunities.
2.13 Deploy OPEX initiatives following the Pandrol Excellence System (PES).
2.14 Promote the lean manufacturing culture throughout the facility.
2.15 Engage and perform training to the shopfloor spreading out the lean concepts
2.16 Ensure the safety mentality as a top priority on site.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
7.1 Bachelor's degree. Field of study: Technical discipline or non-technical degree with 3-5 years of relevant QHSE manufacturing base experience.
7.2 Green belt six sigma certification (Preferred)
7.3 Experience with EPA reporting requirements – Tier II, SWPP, TRI. (preferred)
7.4 Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing required HSE programs.
7.5 Experience in implementing and maintaining 5S
7.6 Knowledge of root cause analysis methods and corrective and preventive action processes and tools.
7.7 Statistical Process Control knowledge and experience
7.8 Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system or equivalent
7.9 Ability to conduct capability studies, Gage R&Rs, and Design of Experiments
7.10 Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
7.11 Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
7.12 Demonstrated ability to deliver results against organization goals
7.13 Demonstrated ability to address and resolve complex technical issues
7.14 Computer proficient; detailed and comprehensive report writing
7.15 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
