Job Overview
We are looking to hire a detail-oriented Sign Production and Installer. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality signage and expertly installing it at various client locations, as well as working in our shop. Your eye for detail and technical hand skills will ensure that each sign is produced efficiently, accurately, and installed safely, contributing to the visual identity of clients’ brands. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with signage materials, tools, and equipment while delivering exceptional service that exceeds expectations. No driving a desk!
Responsibilities
- Operate sign production equipment such as cutting machines, printers, and finishing tools to produce signs according to specifications, and clean up your area when you are done.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish signage components with precision to ensure quality standards are met. Detail-oriented for the best finished products.
- Read and interpret design layouts, blueprints, or technical drawings to accurately produce signs very helpful.
- Prepare signage for installation by securing mounting hardware or frames as needed.
- Safely install signs at designated locations using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
- Conduct site assessments prior to installation to identify potential challenges or safety hazards.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components of illuminated or electronic signs when applicable.
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards during production and installation processes.
Experience
- Prior experience in sign manufacturing or installation is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and sign installation equipment is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and the use of ohmmeters is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings or schematics clearly and accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting are essential.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work at heights when necessary. Join us in creating impactful visual solutions! Compensation:
$15 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining a clean workspace, putting tools back, and organizing.
- Ordering materials and keeping up-to-date pricing on record, as well as inventory.
- Sales calls, measurements, and installations at clients' locations.
- Learning to troubleshoot the machines and perform maintenance.
- Provide a clean driving record with a valid driver's license.
- Working as a team with the staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of basic tools.
- Proficiency in taking measurements.
- Must be able to lift more than 50lbs and stand for long periods of time in heat and cold.
- Comfortable working with heights.
- Solid work ethic. Arrive on time and be at work for the full duration of shifts.
