The Behavior Technician (BT) provides 1:1 applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities in home, school, and community settings. Under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the BT implements individualized behavior support plans, skill acquisition programs, and data collection procedures aligned with client goals.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $22–$25 per hour.
  • In-between travel and mileage paid
  • Paid training
  • If maintains full time hours, can qualify for medical, dental, and so forth

PRIMARY MEASUREMENT ACCOUNTABILITY (KPIs):

  • Accurate and timely data collection submission (95% compliance)

  • Session attendance and punctuality (90%+ session attendance)

  • Client goal progress (measured via supervision reviews and monthly updates)

  • Completion of training and supervision hours (per BACB requirements, if applicable)

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lives Beachmont Behavioral Health’s values, mission, and vision.


  • Prioritizes trauma assumed care.

  • Implements behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.

  • Collects and records data during sessions accurately and promptly.

  • Provides clear and respectful communication with caregivers, clients, and supervisory staff.

  • Participates in training, supervision meetings, and performance feedback sessions.

  • Maintains professional boundaries and confidentiality per HIPAA and company policy.

  • Supports the safety and dignity of each client throughout service delivery.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not supervise others. Participation in regular team meetings and 1:1 supervision is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelors degree in related field is preferred

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance

  • Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background check and TB test

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience with children or individuals with disabilities preferred

  • Experience with ABA services preferred but not required

EDUCATION:

  • Some college coursework in psychology, education, or related field preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to understand and follow written behavior intervention plans

  • Ability to write objective session notes and data reports

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to record and calculate frequencies, durations, and percentages for behavioral data tracking

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, and play on the floor

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Visual and auditory acuity to monitor client behavior and respond to needs

  • Ability to travel locally to client homes or community sites
