Position Overview:
A growing precision manufacturer is seeking an entry-level CNC Machine Operator/Machinist to join their production team. This role involves setting up and operating a variety of CNC and manual machines used in spring and wire form production. Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of CNC experience, preferably with a background in high-volume production. Recent technical school graduates (e.g., TCAT or similar) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate spring CNC machines, including drill presses, engine lathes, surface grinders, and milling machines.

Perform complex setups and adjust machines to meet blueprint specifications and customer tolerances.

Use quality control tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators to ensure part accuracy.

Follow Statistical Process Control (SPC) procedures and maintain accurate SPC charts.

Detect machine or part defects during operation and make timely corrections.

Conduct basic machine maintenance as needed to ensure operational readiness.

Train and assist less experienced team members on SPC techniques and shop practices.

Follow all safety and quality assurance procedures in accordance with company policies.

Lift materials or equipment up to 45 lbs as needed and remain active throughout the shift.
Preferred Background:

1–3 years of experience in CNC machine operation; experience with spring-forming equipment is a plus but not required.

Hands-on knowledge of shop equipment (manual mills, lathes, grinders, etc.).

Familiarity with blueprints, SPC, and general machining standards.

Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment preferred (not tool & die).

Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow work instructions.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a technical certification program (e.g., TCAT) strongly preferred.

Basic math and mechanical problem-solving skills.

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work independently.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, production-driven setting.
