BlueCloud Staffing is seeking a dedicated Educational Sign Language Interpreter to support students in a school setting in Swanzey, New Hampshire for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time opportunity for an interpreter who is passionate about making education accessible and empowering students to reach their full potential.
Position Details
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday following the school calendar
- 2026-2027 school year
- School-based position
- Support one or more students in the classroom and throughout the school day
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, professional sign language interpreting between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and teachers, staff, and peers.
- Facilitate communication during classroom instruction, school activities, meetings, and other educational settings.
- Promote student independence while maintaining professional interpreting standards.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student success.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreters.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Experience interpreting in educational or K-12 settings preferred.
- 3.5 EIPA or betterand/or RID certification preferred (or ability to meet New Hampshire school requirements).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students and school staff.
- Must successfully complete all required employment screenings and background clearances.
