Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

Are you passionate about helping people get back on their feet and back to work? We're seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) Intern to join our team in a full-time, entry-level role with structured training and a clear path toward becoming a fully certified VRC.
This is a hybrid position based in the Seattle area. While the schedule follows a set, MondayFriday structure, there is potential for greater flexibility once you grow into a full VRC role.
Applicants must currently reside in WA State for consideration.
What Youll Do:
Assist experienced VRCs in helping clients return to work after injury or illness
Learn to conduct interviews, assessments, and maintain case documentation
Coordinate services and support individualized vocational planning
Travel within a three-county area to meet with clients and attend appointments
Gain hands-on experience with Washingtons workers compensation system
Participate in regular team meetings and structured mentorship
Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree (BA or BS) is required
Preferred majors: psychology, sociology, social work (other degrees welcome)
Prior human services experience preferred but not required
Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Mac systems is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid general office skills (filing, scheduling, documentation, time management)
Must have a valid drivers license or consistent access to transportation for work-related travel that may fall outside public transit lines
Must be ambitious, eager to learn, and capable of handling stressful or emotionally complex situations with professionalism and care
