Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

RPh on the Go is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist to provide 13+ weeks of maternity leave coverage at a hospital pharmacy in Iowa. This role offers a blend of clinical and retail exposure and is ideal for pharmacists comfortable working in both environments.

Start Date:
Mid-October (includes training period)

Schedule:
Monday Friday
7:30 AM 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
One weekend per month may be required

Retail Pharmacy Hours:
Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 7:00 PM
Saturday Sunday: 9:30 AM 1:30 PM
(Retail coverage only as needed)

Setting:
Hospital inpatient pharmacy with occasional retail coverage

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify compounded medications, including chemotherapy

• Review and approve electronic medication orders

• Oversee Pyxis fills

• Attend inpatient rounds and contribute to huddles

• Assist with anticoagulation clinic monitoring

• Participate in audit reviews

• Provide coverage in retail pharmacy when needed

Requirements:

• Active and clear Iowa Pharmacist license (temporary license considered)

• Comfortable checking chemotherapy prep

• Willingness to assist in retail pharmacy operations

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

• Availability for potential weekend coverage (once per month)
