Pharmacist – Georgia (GA License Required)

Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
License: Active Georgia Pharmacist License required
Experience: Long-Term Care or Retail experience preferred

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Georgia to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant dispensing of medications while providing exceptional patient care and clinical guidance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns
  • Ensure all pharmaceutical practices comply with state and federal regulations
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications, including dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions
  • Provide clinical consultations and identify drug-related problems
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare providers regarding therapy recommendations
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions as needed
  • Educate patients on medical devices (e.g., blood pressure monitors, glucose meters)
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and support staff
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of medications and medical supplies

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
  • Active Georgia Pharmacist License
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy law and regulatory compliance
  • Long-term care or retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
