Certified Nurse Assistant PT 12hr (Days)

Job DescriptionThe Certified Nursing Assistant is a non-professional who, under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists in providing direct patient care by performing non-professional nursing duties. He/She may handle human blood and other potentially infectious and/or hazardous materials, which may result in a possible exposure to blood borne pathogens and/or harmful elements. The position may care for patients in the following group: adult and geriatric. The Certified Nursing Assistant position is accountable to the Clinical Director.

Requirements:

1. Current Nursing Assistant Certification required.
2. Current BLS required (within 30 days of employment).
3. CPI training required (within 90 days of employment).
4. Minimum 1 year experience in an acute care facility with geriatric experience preferred.
5. Knowledge of Medical terminology.
6. Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language.
7. Possesses the physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily preform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
