Position Overview
The VDC Coordinator will be responsible for managing virtual design and construction processes to ensure project efficiency and accuracy. This role involves collaborating with various teams to integrate VDC practices into project workflows, enhancing communication and coordination for successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement VDC strategies for plumbing projects
- Coordinate with design and construction teams to ensure alignment of virtual models
- Utilize Revit to create and maintain detailed plumbing designs
- Conduct clash detection and resolve issues through collaboration
- Provide training and support to team members on VDC tools and processes
- Assist in the development of project schedules and deliverables related to VDC
- Monitor project progress and implement improvements as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- 3+ years VDC Coordinator experience
- Proven experience in plumbing design and coordination
- Strong proficiency in Revit and VDC processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Familiarity with BIM and piping systems is a plus
