Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Inventory Clerk to join a team in Greenville, South Carolina in a Contract to Permanent position. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with inventory records, and capable of supporting daily stock control activities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate inventory information, coordinate physical stock handling, and contribute to smooth operational workflows through strong communication and organization.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate inventory records by entering, updating, and reviewing stock information in company systems.
• Support asset tracking activities to ensure materials and equipment are properly logged and accounted for.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with annual inventory reviews to verify physical quantities against system data.
• Receive, organize, and move inventory items as needed, including handling materials that require moderate to heavy lifting.
• Work closely with operations staff to address discrepancies, investigate stock variances, and resolve record inconsistencies.
• Prepare clear inventory-related documentation and communicate status updates to team members and supervisors.
• Monitor supply levels and assist with basic cost and budget awareness when tracking inventory usage and replenishment.
• Contribute to orderly warehouse or production support processes in environments connected to assembly line operations.• Strong math skills with the ability to work accurately with counts, quantities, and inventory adjustments.
• Experience using inventory management platforms and data entry systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to safely perform moderate to heavy lifting as part of daily inventory handling tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple inventory priorities effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination across teams.
• Basic understanding of budget-related tracking or cost-conscious inventory support.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking, asset inventory, and physical inventory procedures.
