Position Overview
The Safety Coordinator will support both office and field personnel across multiple project sites. This role works closely with the Safety Department to help enforce company safety policies and procedures and promote a proactive safety culture. The Safety Coordinator will assist with training, inspections, incident investigations, and ongoing safety program development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of the Company Safety Program and SiteSpecific Safety and Health Plans
- Provide technical safety guidance, coaching, and mentoring to field and office personnel
- Stay current on applicable state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations relevant to the company’s scope of work
- Support the Safety Director and Safety Department with inhouse safety training and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Assist with drafting and updating company safety policies and procedures
- Support the reporting, handling, and monitoring of workers’ compensation, property, and general liability claims
- Participate in and support newhire safety orientations
- Conduct weekly safety inspections on active job sites
- Assist with investigations of accidents, incidents, and nearmiss events
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Safety Department

Skills & Abilities
- Entry to intermediate knowledge of state and federal environmental, health, and safety standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines and maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and maximize efficiency
- Commitment to compliance with company policies and procedures
- Demonstrated work ethic with a high standard of personal conduct and accountability
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or a related field, or
- Minor in an EHSrelated field plus a minimum of 2 years of construction safety experience where safety was a primary responsibility (minimum 75%), or
- BoardCertified Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST®)
- Experience supporting HVAC service or construction safety programs preferred but not required
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred; must be obtained within the first 10 days of employment if not already held
