Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Supervisor to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring that all projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within scope, budget, and schedule. As a Construction Supervisor, you will coordinate with various teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations. Your expertise in construction management software, managing complex BAS controls, project scheduling, and blueprint reading will drive project success and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Oversight:
o Direct and manage all aspects of Subcontractor responsible for BAS
installation, assist other Trades
with coordination with
o Ensure all work adheres strictly to project specifications, blueprints, local codes, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, TJC, NFPA, UL).
- Technical Expertise & Quality Assurance:
o Understand how to read Construction Drawings Blueprints and Control Submittals and verify scope of work in field is being installed correctly
o Conduct rigorous quality control inspections and functional performance tests to ensure system functionality, performance, and adherence to design intent.
- Coordination & Communication:
o Serve as the Secondary point of contact for all controls-related matters with the General Contractor, project managers, engineers, owner representatives, and other trade partners.
o Proactively coordinate activities with mechanical, electrical, IT, and plumbing trades to ensure seamless integration, prevent conflicts, and maintain project flow.
o When Required attend project meetings, provide clear and concise progress updates, and effectively address any concerns, changes, or requests from stakeholders.
o Facilitate effective communication with the Project Manager to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Safety & Compliance:
o Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures on site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in site activities.
o Ensure all installations and operations comply with relevant healthcare facility regulations, codes, and standards.
- Documentation & Reporting
o Prepare and Documentation & Reporting: submit detailed progress reports, change order requests, and other necessary project documentation in a timely manner.
- Problem Solving & Adaptability:
o Proactively identify potential issues, risks, and challenges related to company controls and develop effective, innovative solutions to keep the project on track.
o Adapt quickly to changes in project scope, schedule, or design while maintaining quality, efficiency, and adherence to budget.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
o Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) controls, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
o Demonstrated experience managing complex BAS installations on large-scale commercial or institutional construction projects.
oCrucially, proven experience in healthcare/hospital environments is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of critical systems.
o Significant experience with Greenfield construction projects (starting from scratch) is a strong advantage.
- Soft Skills:
o Exceptional leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities, with a track record of inspiring and developing teams.
o Superior communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with all levels of project stakeholders.
o Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
o Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
o Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment.
- Certifications:
o OSHA 30 certification preferred.
o Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- This role is primarily on-site at a construction project, requiring extensive walking, standing, climbing, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and other typical construction site hazards.
- May require occasional travel and extended hours to meet critical project deadlines.

- Commercial construction: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
