About the Role
As the Healthcare Business Development Manager, this role requires local travel throughout Wayne and Monroe Counties and you will be the face of BrightStar Care in a newly established territory, responsible for:
- Building brand awareness
- Developing referral networks
- Creating strategic growth plans
- Strengthening community presence
- Supporting office administrative operations
While business development is the primary focus of this position, you will also support daily office operations, referral coordination, scheduling collaboration, and administrative initiatives to ensure an exceptional client and referral partner experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development & Brand Growth
- Lead business development efforts to launch and grow a new territory
- Create and execute a strategic plan for market penetration and referral growth
- Build strong partnerships with hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities, assisted living facilities, physicians, and community organizations
- Increase brand visibility through networking, events, presentations, and targeted outreach
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for rapid growth
Community Relations, Sales & Marketing
- Conduct daily outreach to referral sources and professional partners
- Attend community events, health fairs, and industry networking opportunities
- Manage referral pipelines and maintain accurate CRM documentation
- Achieve monthly referral and admissions targets
- Follow up promptly on inquiries and new referral opportunities

Qualifications
To stand out in this role, candidates should have:
Required
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in business development, sales, community relations, or healthcare management roles
- Proven success in building business relationships and growing territory or referral networks
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and operate with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred (Not Required)
- Degree in Healthcare Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience in home health, home care, senior care, or healthcare operations
Expected Schedule
Monday–Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends for networking and community events.
