Qualifications:
- Completion of a Surgical Technology/Operating Room Tech training program
- Association of Surgical Technologists certification (NBSTSA) preferred; otherwise, proof of program completion required
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers
- All licenses/certifications must be active throughout your assignment
- Minimum of 3 years recent, full-time staff CST/ORT experience in a 500+ bed Level 1 Trauma Center
- Experience required in general surgery and orthopedics (including total joints)
- Preferred experience in trauma, GYN, ENT, neuro, and cardiac specialties
- Compliance documentation due 10 days prior to start
- No requested time off during the initial contract period
Responsibilities:
- Assist in a range of surgical procedures including general, ortho (total joints), and specialized cases
- Support surgeons and the perioperative team in complex, high-acuity environments
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and patient safety protocols
- Prepare operating rooms and instruments for diverse case types
- Contribute to collaborative, multidisciplinary patient care
