About the Role The Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), a defense agency under the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), safeguards personnel, facilities, infrastructure, and resources on the Pentagon Reservation and select DoD facilities in the National Capital Region (NCR). PFPA delivers essential force protection, security, law enforcement, antiterrorism, and CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive) capabilities.

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Financial Management Analyst to provide on-site expert support to the PFPA Financial Management (FM) Officer. This role focuses on sustaining and optimizing financial operations within the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system, including advanced financial analysis, reporting, and help desk functions in a high-stakes DoD environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site contractor Lead Financial Management Analyst supporting the PFPA FM Officer.
  • Oversee the development, compilation, reconciliation, and thorough review of financial reports, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Provide on-site DAI Help Desk support, including creating and de-conflicting unique DAI elements such as Project Names, Project Numbers, Descriptions, POETS, and Task Numbers to ensure accurate appropriation in Hyperion and DAI systems.
  • Maintain strict compliance with DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR) and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) guidelines for financial record storage and management.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in accounting, programming, and budgeting across DoD organizational levels, from headquarters (e.g., CJCS, SAF/FM, NAVCOMPT, ABO) to major commands, system commands, and unit/base organizations.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to streamline financial processes, identify improvements, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (must be current and maintainable).
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in DoD financial management, including proven roles at:
    • DoD headquarters levels (e.g., CJCS, SAF/FM, NAVCOMPT, ABO).
    • Major commands (MAJCOM/MACOM, EUCOM, etc.), system commands, and unit/base-level organizations.
  • Broad expertise in accounting principles, financial programming, and budgeting processes within DoD environments.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of specialized experience ensuring financial record storage complies with DoD FMR and NARA regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Hyperion (budget formulation and reporting) and DAI (Defense Agencies Initiative) systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience in financial or DoD support roles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with senior-level DoD stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented approach with unwavering commitment to accuracy, regulatory compliance, and mission success.

Location: On-site at PFPA facilities (Pentagon / National Capital Region, Arlington, VA)

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance
