Job Title: Radiology Technologist
Location: Hyannis, MA
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8)
Shift: Days / Evenings / Nights
Schedule: Includes weekends and occasional holidays

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using ionizing radiation while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and safety standards
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations
  • Operate radiologic equipment and ensure proper setup for procedures
  • Obtain and review patient history and clinical information to support accurate diagnosis
  • Adjust positioning and immobilization devices to capture optimal images
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
  • Provide clear explanations of procedures and address patient concerns
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and accuracy
  • Maintain and manage imaging equipment, supplies, and service requests
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure efficiency and timely completion of exams
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control standards

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (JRCERT)

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification (or registry eligible)
  • Active Massachusetts state license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques and equipment
  • Ability to evaluate image quality and ensure diagnostic accuracy
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in maintaining patient records and documentation
