Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician (Technician III) to support an engineering lab environment focused on the assembly, testing, and development of electro-mechanical and micro-electronic systems. This role involves working on both production and prototype builds, assisting engineers with design validation, and performing hands-on assembly and testing activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly of electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Conduct testing using electronic test equipment and document results
  • Support engineering teams with design, fabrication, modification, and troubleshooting efforts
  • Perform precision assembly work requiring fine motor skills and high attention to detail
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
  • Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues during build and test processes


Skills Required:

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters)
  • Proficiency with electrical assembly tools, hand tools, and soldering techniques
  • Strong electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills
  • High level of precision and attention to detail for micro-electronic work
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills


Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a technician in a production, manufacturing, or prototype environment
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Exposure to electronics testing and diagnostics


Education Required:

  • 2-year technical degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field
    OR
  • Equivalent hands-on experience (minimum 2 years in a relevant technician role)
