Kristin Wasson is seeking an onsite, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Salem, Oregon. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a background in bookkeeping, particularly within the construction industry.


Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate financial tracking.

• Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and employee expense reports.

• Manage job costing by tracking labor, materials, and overhead for individual projects.

• Prepare and issue client invoices, including progress billing and retainage tracking.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loan statements to ensure financial accuracy.

• Handle payroll processing and ensure timely payments.

• Generate monthly financial statements and reports to support management decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.

• Support the year-end closing process and coordinate with external auditors or accountants.

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation for easy access and review.

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and job costing methodologies.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks desktop software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with project managers and vendors.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
• Capability to reconcile financial accounts and prepare accurate reports.
