Sr. Transportation Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Transportation Engineer to lead and manage complex transportation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation solutions that enhance public infrastructure and ensure safety and efficiency in roadway systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead transportation engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Conduct traffic studies and roadway design to improve transportation systems.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Microstation for drafting and design tasks.
- Implement traffic simulation software to analyze and optimize traffic flow.
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Provide technical expertise in civil engineering, highway design, and traffic engineering.
- Engage with stakeholders, including public agencies and community members, regarding transportation projects.
- Ensure compliance with FDOT standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation engineering.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microstation software.
- Experience with traffic simulation software.
- Strong knowledge of roadway design and project management practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
